How
the Robomower Works
The RoboMower is confined
to the mowing area by an invisible wall generated by a thin
wire in the turf. After cutting the perimeter by following
the perimeter wire, the robot turns and begins to mow the
main grass area. It will return to its dock automatically
to recharge and then resume mowing until its daily scheduling
window ends. It will automatically resume with the next scheduled
mowing day. Small areas can be set up a "zones"
and the mower can be easily set to travel to those areas by
following the perimeter wire.
Manual Operation
There are two options for controlling
a Robomow manually. The first is a wireless remote that allows
you to drive the mower to isolated areas of lawn and also
mow manually. The other choice is a smart phone App that is
a bit easier on your fingers.
Slopes and Grades
Slopes are no problem. The powerful wheel
motors and knobby traction tires provide excellent climbing
ability for all but the steepest grades. If you cut it now
with a traditional push mower, the Robomow should be able
to handle it. If you do have extremely steep areas that are
safe to cut with a traditional mower, you can leave it out
of the perimeter area and cut it in manual mode. How
to check grades.
